| Moraine hills and the Oder valley belong to the diversified past ice age landscape of the Chojna Land. A large number of lakes and forests enrich the region. The term Neumark, which includes the region between Oder, Warthe and West Pomerania, was created in the 14th century. The Neumark became an independent state under the rule of the margrave John of Küstrin (1535-1571). The Chojna Circle developed in this time. The bicycle path ‘Green Oder’, which was built parallel to the Oder on the Polish side, runs in the hilly and diversified landscape from Kostrzyn to Szczecin and allows the cyclist to cross the Oder at any time without any problems. |
