Ostsee-Wolin

Wolin is an Polish island. It is located in the Baltic Sea, extending in front of the Stettin Haff close to Szczecin. To the west it is surrounded by the river Swina and to the east by the river Dziwna. In the summertime Wolin is a popular tourist destination due to its beautiful Baltic Sea beaches. Another tourist attraction is the Wolin National Park, which was founded in 1960. It currently covers an area of about 11,000 ha and has a small game park close to Miedzyzdroje. Among other species you will also find there some of the almost extinct wisents.
